IMG_20171111_112156.jpg

A huge thank you to Gail Wallace from Sunnybrae, who very kindly donated an extensive range of her handmade toques, scarves and hoods to the Sunnybrae Community Association!

We have and will be selling these at our local events and putting the funds towards our Raise the Roof project!

In this short time already $240.00 has been raised!

Musical Swap Meet – Dec 9th

Music Swap Dec

In support of the Tappen Sunnybrae Fire Dept’s food drive, the Sunnybrae Community Association and Dale Bushy Bush are hosting the 2nd Musical Swap Meet of the year. This has proven to be a fantastic opportunity to buy, sell and trade anything musical. It is also just a great excuse to come down to the hall and mingle with the community, check our what’s on offer and throw a donation in for the Salmon Arm Foodbank and Emergency Woman’s Shelter.

Entry is $2 or a non-perishable Foodbank Donation. For more information or to book a sales table, please contact 250 675 3015.

The Sunnybrae Coffeehouse – Dec 9th

The Kringles 1

Falling on the same day as the Musical Swap Meet will be the festive rendition of our community Coffeehouse. The feature act, The Kringles, from Blind-Bay and surrouding areas, also happens to be featuring Dale Bushy Bush who brought the Musical Swap Meet to Sunnybrae!

Stay tuned for an upcoming event poster. As always, admission is $3 with the show kicking off at 730pm!

Chicken-Like Birds at the Sunnybrae Coffeehouse – Sat 11th November

CoffeeHouse2017b_Oct-page-001Join us in welcoming Chicken-Like Birds back from their great Canadian tour, with an evening of local, live music!

Expect “original swing, country blues and ragtime tunes that are applicable to the 20th century but are very much influenced by the music of the 1920’s and 1930’s.”

For a taste of what’s to come this Saturday, check out their official website: https://www.chickenlikebirds.com/music

This month we dedicate the Sunnybrae Coffeehouse to Barry Turner: a member of the Sunnybrae Community who will be missed by all.
